The xx

Yet another reason to look forward to the movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby: The xx contribute to the soundtrack with this gem of a song.

Fe

It's hard not to compare new London-singer Fe to Lana del Rey. Let's try to set the two apart, though! After all, Lana's never been spotted with this huge of a black hat, right?

Sapphire Slows

Tokyo-based Sapphire Slows is a  solo female performer who is in the midst of putting out a CD-compilation consisting of previous vinyl releases as well as 3 unreleased tracks. Two of the unreleased tracks are the ones you can stream here, "Keep Beating" and "When I see you". Such lovely music, all created in her bedroom with a laptop and some keyboards. I'll have to remember to keep eyes and ears open for her debut album, out later this year via Big Love.

Mr. Little Jeans

Mr. Little Jeans is the stage-name of Norwegian singer Monica Birkenes. Why the name, you ask? She took it from a character from Wes Anderson's Rushmore. About a year ago, she released the brilliant track "Runaway" as well as a cover of Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs". Now she's back with this addictive-as-candy pop song. She just finished her full-length a few months back, so keep an eye open for it!

MS MR

One of my favorite tracks from the past year now has a video.

Disa

Icelandic native Disa's ethereal voice reminds me of Björk, Karin Dreijer and Zola Jesus. Still, her dark and electronic debut single, "Sun", is new and refreshing and I look forward to hearing more from her.
