Youth Lagoon
Youth Lagoons debut album The Year of Hibernation was one of my favorite releases of 2011, so naturally, I'm really looking forward to his second album Wondrous Bughouse, out March 5th.
Here's the first song off it; stream and then download!

Shy Girls
Last year, How to Dress Well's Tom Krell won me over with his R&B-chillwave. And now, Shy Girls are quickly winning me over with their 80's-synth-R&B-pop. I'll admit it, I absolutely love the sleaze. And yeah, it's hard not to be reminded of Usher's "U got it bad", which isn't necessarily a bad thing, if you ask me!

Burial
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: music fit for the night is my kind of music. Hence, I've always had a thing for Burial.

Hervé + Austra
London-producer Hervé just dropped this track in which he collaborates with one of my absolute favorites, Austra. Rumours say that Niki & The Dove will feature on his The Art of Disappearing, due out in March.

Left Right Arms
Left Right Arms is a 19-year old producer from Japan who just recently released his first EP titled A Sleep. The music might be described as dreamy, electronic pop with a melancholic undertone. Or rather, "bedroom songs". Basically, everything that would make me stick around.
Download the 6-track EP for free over at Bandcamp.

IYES
I really enjoy this track by completely new Brighton-duo IYES. At first listen, they quite reminded me of The xx, but the climax, or rather more up-beat sound to this song, suggests that they differ quite a lot. Worth keeping in mind!

Stillsound
Behind the name Stillsound we find James, a 17-year old who lives in Japan. He creates chillwave with a touch of R&B and funk. And yes, as you might've guessed by the name, James is a big fan of Toro y Moi. Listen to the rest of his stuff here.

Yume
Yume means "dream" in Japanese, and not surprisingly, this secretive artist seems to be all about the dreamiest of chillwave sounds. Perfect for this lazy New Year's Day. Or, wait, any lazy day will do.
